My photography career literally began when I took to the sky. Working as an aerial photographer allowed me to tell the story of our great wild continent as I saw it from above. It was scarred as a wild thing we have tried to tame. Like a living, breathing skin pocked and marked by a life lived dangerously, destructively and beautifully. It taught me that looking at the ordinary from a different perspective can unearth a raw beauty that could otherwise be missed.

This philosophy directs my photography. I take photos everyday because it helps me see our world more clearly.

Whatever I photograph I want to capture it with candid, graceful honesty. I take photographs for art’s sake, for story’s sake, to make sense of life and as a series of documentaries. I take photographs because I love to.

Melbourne, Australia

We were joined by a few members from the Nth Melb Dugongs for Monday’s public holiday swim. Our group is ever expanding, even as the temperature continues to plummet! ❄️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️
I usually shoot with a waterproof pocket point and shoot camera as it enables me to swim and photograph at the same time. I wanted to add some portraits to the action pics, and I have just started using an underwater housing with a higher quality cam
I’ve been loving the foggy Melbourne mornings of late…
Location scouting for short film ‘Echoes’ with DOP @aaron_lee_noyes
The bond of open water swimming. Two great mates, one the president of our club and the other the driver of our weekly open water swim at Williamstown. Anthony and Raoul, the backbone of the Brunswick Belugas.
Dusk in Brunswick
With the closure of Brunswick Baths for the next 3 months our squad has moved to Oak Park. Beautiful setting amongst the gums, but the temp is up! It’s amazing the difference one or 2 degrees can make even when the outside temp is quite fresh.
Every group has their spiritual leader, and ours is Anthony. He’s there week in week out. Prompting the group on the eve of each swim with reminders and promise of amazing conditions regardless of the weather report. Swimming in his budgie smu
Bubble and froth @wyliesbaths at Coogee 🌊
I left Melbourne on a drizzly Saturday morning to reach Sydney about 6 degrees warmer with blue skies and holiday vibes. This is Coogee the day before the Wedding Cake Island swim. I love Melbourne but it has nothing on Sydney’s city beaches&h

Great swim over Easter with the Brunswick Belugas. A bit of swell made it extra fun 🌊🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️
